As humans, we have an innate need for connection and approval from others. Often, we make an effort to gain validation and this is natural. Yet, in our world today, this need for others’ approval becomes magnified; as many of us are constantly plugged in on social media, we tend to get caught up in the pursuit of “likes”, “shares”, “follows” & engagement. These can have implications on our mental well-being and happiness. Through this issue, I hope that we can be more aware of the impacts & risks associated with excessive use of social media, and what we can do about it so that we can live out our best lives. | How to Stop Worrying What Other People Think of You If you find yourself looking over your shoulder, self-conscious, or fretful about how your actions will look to others, here’s some help to stop worrying. | The Social Dilemma: Social Media and Your Mental Health ‘Like’ it or not, using social media can cause anxiety, depression, and other health challenges. We reconnected when I found out she had joined Prudential and I needed some help with reassessing my financial goals and status.
Ruth is professional, reliable, dedicated and eternally upbeat. She is also always empathetic and takes time to understand the financial goals I want to achieve and matches the different financial tools available with a high level of professionalism.
If you are looking for someone who is here for the long haul and someone who takes time to understand your needs and helps you to achieve your goals, I would definitely say that Ruth is the person to go to.
Wishing her all the best success! | | | Chong Yuen Li. Project Manager I always choose my financial consultant based on who is more trustworthy and chose them from among my close friends. But Ruth is different I do not know her prior meetup but found her online through FB. First meetup my impression of her was very good. She makes me feel comfortable to share with her why I want to buy medical insurance. Although she looks young (most of my agents are older than me) but she gave me impression she is a capable young mother whom I can trust. She is very efficient and knowledgeable and after just one appointment, I know I can trust her with my insurance plan. When I was admitted to hospital last Dec. She was quick to help me submit claims for my hospitalisation bills. I will not hesitate to recommend her to my family and close friends. | | | Dr Claris Shi. Ministry of Health I usually shy away from Financial Consultants but Ruth was so friendly and genuine, and didn’t laugh at my lack of financial planning knowledge! She took time to go through all my policies and identified areas where I needed coverage. She definitely goes above and beyond her call of duty and is so easy to talk to when I have any questions. | | | Catherine Lim. Key Accounts Manager I have known Ruth for years, from a colleague to a dear friend. During her 5-year tenure in the MNC we worked together, she had changed several bosses and almost every time that happened, she would be given a different portfolio to handle. Each time she saw it as an opportunity to grow instead of dwelling in self-pity how challenging the role was or how established she had been in the current role.
When I knew she became a Financial Consultant and asked if she could review my plans, she agreed immediately. She is someone I trust and she has my best interest at heart. Since then, she has been constantly updating me on plans or investments that might interest me. Ruth is quick to respond and will always give sound advice on financial related issues.
Call Ruth now. You won't regret. | | | Evon Lim Ruth IS a superwoman!! Dedicated to her job, wants to help people, and always giving her best to BBGen. It's tough as a working mum and to be balanced (in all aspects is even harder.) I knew her as the yogi and barre instructor from 4-5 years back. I love her choice of music and her effort in ensuring her students are having fun. She is a go-getter. | | | Nurhana Binte Ismail. Public Service Officer If there is one thing I know about Ruth, is that she is someone I can trust and depend on. From letting her “fly” me in acroyoga poses, to handling my financial plans - I know that I’m always in good hands! She has been a great friend, “cheerleader” and inspiration in our yoga journey together over the years, and I’m proud to watch her grow and thrive, not only as a yoga teacher, but also as a rising Financial Consultant! | | | | |
